Trak Racer FS3 Wheel Stand Review by Simnews | Simplace

A new edition to its rising line-up of sim racing cockpits is being sold by the Australian based simulator maker Trak Racer. We’re looking at their FS3 Wheel Stand this time around.

Designed almost entirely from black-coated metal, Trak Racer has created a free-standing and foldable wheel stand that can accommodate the wheels, pedals, and shifters of most major manufacturers today.

Naturally, owing to the lightweight compact construction, possible positioning on soft
surfaces, and disconnecting from the user ‘s seat, Wheel Stands would have more flex than adedicated Sim Racing Cockpit.
In favour of a lightweight style that is bound to accommodate the significant others of a Sim Racer, you lose a bit of rigidity.

The FS3 does a great job of looking very solid!
The front of the wheel stand would “sink” a little into the carpet under hard braking, giving
the “pedal flex” illusion, but the pedal mount was completely rock solid.
In the mount, the pedal plate had no flex, and that’s saying something, given the fact that we used the Heuskinkveld pedals, which requires strong braking force!

The redesigned screws used on the wheel stand, especially on the pedal mounting pad, are one thing we really like that’s rather ingenious. The dual-threaded configuration enables you to adjust the incline of the pedal deck quickly, without having to cut the bolts entirely! We hope this style makes its way back to the other cockpits at Trak Racer.

The Trak Racer FS3 is available at Simplace at a very reasonable 159.00 EUR + shipping.
